Frequently Asked Questions
BDO does not recruit from my school; how can I apply for a position?
You are welcome to apply for any position that can be found on www.bdo.com/careers/students, which displays all of our current openings. Once you’ve submitted your resume, your application will be reviewed by a BDO recruiter. If selected, you will be contacted for an interview.
How do I know if you recruit from our school?
Feel free to check with your school’s career services office.
Do you have opportunities for non-accounting majors?
We typically seek accounting majors due to the requirements for the CPA designation. Individuals interested in BDO should apply, but should understand that an accounting degree is required for most positions. If you have previous professional experience, please see our openings for experienced hires.
Do you offer tuition reimbursement?
We do reimburse when there is a business need.
Are BDO's internships paid or unpaid?
Our internships are paid, and we strive to be competitive.
Do I have a choice between tax and audit?
Depending on the hiring needs of an individual office, you may have an opportunity to explore either tax or audit.
What training does BDO offer for new associates?
Typically associates attend regional new associate training. This training will provide you with a foundation, and on-the-job experience will build upon that knowledge.
What opportunities exist abroad at BDO?
Depending on the needs of a particular practice, there may be opportunities to work internationally or with international clients.
