Brent Hagerman

Brent Hagerman is the Southwest Market Managing Principal and Practice Leader for BDO's Tax practice. He offers more than 15 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to publicly traded and privately held companies across a broad range of industries. His experience includes a combination of public accounting with Big-Four firms and serving as tax director for public companies in the global manufacturing and hospitality industries.

Brent has extensive experience in federal, international, and state tax compliance, as well as consulting, consolidated returns, partnerships, multinational taxation, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, tax accounting methods, and research and development credits.

He has significant technical experience with income tax provisions (ASC 740) and initial public offerings (IPOs). Brent has helped his clients work through various tax provision issues, including permanent reinvestment in foreign subsidiaries, acquisition accounting, valuation allowance considerations, carve-out financial statements, subsidiary spin-off transactions, and other tax accounting needs.
