Dustin McCoy

Dustin is the tax lead for BDO’s Greenville office. He comes from a Big Four background where he spent nearly 10 years of his career serving both private and public companies. He offers a unique perspective in client service due to his experience working in both industry and public accounting. During his tenure at his former employer, Dustin worked as an interim VP of tax for one of the largest rigging equipment manufacturers in the world. He helped them to successfully build their tax department and improve their tax function through internal process improvement both domestically and abroad.    

Dustin has a wide range of tax compliance and tax accrual (ASC 740) experience across various industries including: private equity, manufacturing and distribution, food industry, and closely held businesses. He has significant experience in helping tax departments improve their tax function while positioning themselves for the next phase of the business life cycle.
