Bel Fuse was working with an expensive legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for years that had been heavily customized, making updates and modernization a challenge. Different business divisions within the organization were also using their own ERP systems, including some outsourced solutions, creating challenges in unifying finance and supply chain management processes across the enterprise.
In addition to an ERP upgrade, Bel Fuse needed a system capable of handling its material requirements planning (MRP) process, which includes an inventory control system, planning, and scheduling. With as many as 65,000 SKUs in their inventory, the ability to quickly share specific product information was essential.
As part of onboarding new systems, Bel Fuse was looking for a more cost-effective solution that could be scaled for future growth.
