BDO Global Announces 2022 Financial Results: Worldwide Revenues Top $12 Billion

CHICAGO, December 12, 2022 − BDO, one of the leading global networks of independent public accounting firms, has announced worldwide revenue of $12.8 billion* for all firms for the year ended Sept. 30, 2022, representing year-over-year growth of 12.1% at constant exchange rates. BDO’s Americas region experienced the most growth, with an overall increase of 14.5% in revenue with BDO USA’s year-over-year revenue increase of 25% a significant contributing factor.

Key Highlights

• BDO’s largest region, the Americas, contributed 55% to the global revenue, while the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions contributed 33% and 12% respectively.
• Global headcount increased 14.4%, with more than 111,300 people operating from 1,803 offices in 164 countries and territories worldwide.
• Audit and Assurance remains BDO’s largest service line, accounting for 42% of revenues. Tax and Advisory each contributed 22%, while Business Services and Outsourcing contributed 14% of revenue.

Strong global economic activity over the past 18 months resulted in high demand across most business lines and industries. BDO’s investments in recruitment and retention as well as services and technology provided the foundation to deliver sustainable client-centric solutions and deliver on our global purpose.
