EU’s CSDDD Impact on U.S. Company Supply Chains
Companies doing business in the European Union will be required to conduct appropriate human rights and environmental due diligence under the EU’s new Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). This is one of a series of sustainability and ESG related regulations recently being passed at the local, state, national and international level.
The CSDDD has undergone significant amendments from the December 2023 provisional agreement to the European Council's vote in May 2004, which paved the way for the rule to enter into force. You can learn more about the critical elements, scope, obligations, and compliance requirements in our Guide to the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive from the BDO Global office.
