New Resource: European Sustainability Disclosure Standards

Catch up on the latest developments in sustainability reporting with a tool developed by our BDO Global Office: Sustainability At a Glance – European Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ESRS). 

The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) developed the ESRS rules on what companies are required to report under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The standards help to ensure the quality of reported information by requiring transparent, accurate, and comparable disclosures. 

This publication summarizes the disclosure requirements of each ESRS based on Annexes 1 and 2 of the Delegated Act for Directive 2022/2464 released in July 2023 by the European Commission. 

The CSRD applies to certain U.S. companies who meet the qualifying criteria, and also impacts companies that are suppliers within global value chains.
