On Feb. 26, 2025, the European Commission published its first Omnibus package of proposals to simplify and streamline sustainability-related reporting requirements in the EU. The proposals include changes to the scope and timing of adoption of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU Taxonomy, and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). If approved, these proposals would significantly affect the scope and extent of sustainability reporting requirements for many U.S. companies.
