Michael Grubbs

Mike has more than 30 years of accounting and audit experience and serves as a Managing Technical Principal in BDO’s Central geography and as the Managing Technical Principal – Industry for BDO. In this role, he supports the firm's assurance professionals in improving audit quality and providing technical support.  He consults with clients and engagement teams on auditing matters, firm policies and risk management matters and is also involved in the review of periodic and transaction SEC filings as well as internal and external inspections.​

Mike has served in BDO's professional practice group since 2017. Prior that time, his client service experience focused primarily on energy and manufacturing clients with extensive involvement with SEC registrants, multinational entities and mergers and acquisitions. Within the energy sector, his experience includes oilfield service, exploration and production, and chemical/process manufacturing companies.
