Peter Popo

Peter Popo is an Atlanta-based BDO Assurance Principal and with more than 20 years of U.S. and international experience. Serving a diverse portfolio of public and private clients within the financial services and insurance  industry, Peter brings significant technical knowledge of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), and National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) regulations to his client relationships. He is frequently sought by his clients to assist with complex accounting and financial reporting matters.    

Peter’s experience includes successfully leading or coordinating Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) implementations, public debt and equity offerings, streamlining financial reporting processes, and implementing various systems.
