Rob Thornton has over 22 years of public accounting experience that includes a unique combination of client-facing service delivery and audit focused professional practice roles.
For a significant portion of his career, Rob has focused on providing audit services to a diverse range of both publicly-traded and privately-held companies, primarily focused on entities within the engineering and construction, oilfield services and energy, and other industrial markets. His audit experience includes serving as a lead audit partner on integrated audits of large international SEC registrants, as well as an engagement quality reviewer.
He has also served in various professional practice related roles, not only as a technical resource to help audit professionals interpret auditing, accounting, and regulatory standards, but also in roles focused on improving audit quality through the development of global audit methodologies and tools.
Rob also served in many other roles, including providing hands on coaching to a variety of audit engagement teams and facilitating both technical and non-technical training to professionals around the world at all levels.
